I'm replacing my 11 year old kenwood tape deck with this "new" (to me), used Panasonic cd deck, but the speakerwires are not labeled, just color coded, does anybody know which color is what speaker (it does label them rear and front, but not left and right)

the rear speaker wire colors are
green
purple

the front speaker wire colors are
white
gray

(I do not have the manual)

thanks

quick question

in this unit, the striped wire is the negative, correct? (for the speakers)

I know most are, but I just wanted to be sure

I AM TRYING TO HOOK UP A KEENDWOOD RADIO TO A 97 FRD EXPLER. DOES EACH SPEAKER HAVE TWO WIRES COMING FROM THE RADIO OR JUST ONE. I KNOW THAT WHTE AND GRY ARE FRONT AND THE REAR SPEARKERS ARE PRPLE AND GRN.

I'm assuming you hooked up the power wires correctly with black being grounded and red to the ignition...

The yellow wire is the battery constant and needs to be hooked up to a constant power source.

Orange is most likely the illumination wire and does not need to be hooked up.

Normally there are two blue wires: one is solid blue and the other has a white stripe. The solid blue one is your power antenna turn-on whereas the one with the white stripe is your amp remote turn-on.
