Well i was wondering what would be the best way to go with powering the Alpine 10" dvc subs (4ohm+4ohm) that are rated at 500w rms. i also was wondering what a good set of fill speakers were and the price. and also a head unit that. my budget is around 800$. thanks for your help
If its a Type R, get the MRD-605. Its the 600 watt rms @ 2 ohm V12 amp.
so that retails for around 350. plus another 200 for the subs, so that puts me at 550. so whats a good head unit for 350or less
a couple of things. your subs can only be configured at 4 and 1 ohm, if you have two of them. further, your subs are 500rms/sub. that means you will need 500-700w/sub to reach potential. i would push them w/the ever beloved nine.1 by elemental designs. 350.00 gets you at least 1200 watts into 1ohm. http://edesignaudio.com/category.php?type=amps i would focus about the same amount on the HU. either alpine, pioneer, eclipse, clarion, or the new kenwoods (not the old ones). your rear fill should be any avg midbass w/out highs. connect it to the HU and call it a day.
