I am seeing alot of people talking about specific box dimensions and volumes and tuned to like 35hertz or something. If I got to bestbuy or circuit city and get just a regular box for my 2 reference 1230's will it sound ok?

prefab enclosures will work, but not sound anywhere near as good as a custom one designed specifically for your subs.
