Silver Member Username: Mikechec9Chicago/atlanta Post Number: 104 Registered: May-05 | very basically, ohm refers to impedence or resistance. a amp running at 1ohm is wide open so to speak and produces more power than it would at 2 or 4ohms (generally). however,it stands a greater chance of running hot and possible failure. not all amps are 1ohm stable and lower. speakers are wired in such a way to take advantage of different amps. here is a great link from which to study. http://www.bcae1.com/ |
