My friend has 2 10' MTX and he doesnt know what kind of amp or what brand... he'll spend prob somewhere from 250 down(of what evern can push em at full pwr).. And he wants to know the differnce between the monoblocks and 2 channel
monoblock is a one channel so that means it can power one sub unless u bridge the channel to power 2 subs! A 2 channel amp can power 2 subs unless u bridge each channel so if you do that 4 subs! Well I say check ebay! What model MTX's?
MONOblock means you're not getting stereo sound. The same kind of signal will be sent to all of the channels- meaning you won't be able to have a sub hooked up to 1 channel and components to another without having to wire in a Crossover.
The mtx 4002 is a good amp. Monoblock with two 200rms channels @ 4ohm, rated at 12v. It'll push those subs nicely.
