Greetings all,

I've seached far and wide to no avail.

http://www.accelerator-pedal.com/l-ported-box.htm

I used the above web site to design a box. I have a question though. It asks specifically for NET volume. I'm using an Image Dynamics IDMAX12D2 v.3
On Image Dynamics website it suggests a ported GROSS volume of 2.3 ft^3 tuned to 28 hz.

How exactly do I get net volume? I want to make sure I have the correct value before I start building a box. The subwoofers displacement is .12 ft^3.

Any help would be appreciated,
Eric

if your making a slot ported box you dont need to worry about displacement for the port because your boxes internal depth plus the front wood thickness is your port length and as far as the displacement for the sub you have it right there .12 so you take 2.3 plus .12 and you get 2.42 which after the sub is placed back in gives you your 2.3 net 2.42 being your gross
