Im building a ported box that looks somthing like this: It will be 35.75" wide, 16" high and 20.6" in depth. Subtracting wood thickness, thats 2.0007ft cubed per chamber which is perfect for my Infinity's. Does any one know any tricks or tips for making boxes? what should i use to seal the edges?
not too tough really.. i believe you measure the centerline of the port but dont take my word for it.. double check ur measurments before you cut table saw is ideal but not everyone has one .. i use a jigsaw myself .. make sure your cuts are straight.. seal the inside edges with silicone... also make sure your port pieces are square to your bottom piece.. u dont want it bigger at the top or anything... just take ur time and u should be fine
thanks man.. i have a table saw, band saw, jig saw, skill saw and a few more so im set for equipment. im gettin some 3/4" mdf soon so is there n e thing else i should know? is n e 1 sure how to measure the port area and stuff so i can figure out what Hz im gettin?
