Impedance?

I purchased a new Pioneer AVIC D1 for my 350z which came stock with the Bose system. I understand the Bose speakers have 2ohms impedance and the new Pioneer HU has 4ohms. Will this present a problem of any consequence? What is the fix? New speakers? Is there anything that can be placed inline? Again, will it work without any fix? Thanks in advance!

The internal amplifier will have to work a bit harder, however, i've never seen impedance be a problem with headunit amps because they have a low power output when compared to that of external amps. It would be best to get 4ohm speakers anyway. Bose speakers won't let the unit reach its sonic potential in my opinion.

either use 4 ohm speakers or a 2 ohm stable amplifier for the existing speakers.
do not run a head unit at 2 ohms.

I was running an Eclipse AVN 2454 with these speakers until purchasing the Pioneer. It sounded great and I am pretty sure it was 4 also. Can I use the preouts and run them to the existing amp?
