ok so i was looking at these bat cap things and i came upon the installation page, it says when are going to ground your bat cap AVOID chassis ground and it has some diagrams

can someone please clarify why they dont want us to ground at the chassis?????????

Follow fig 3 and you'll be fine. Last thing you want to do is fig 1 and 2. Ground wire should be kept to 18" or shorter. What they're asking will require 15' of ground wire. It'll pick up lot of noise.
They're stupid.

InfinityLova I own a BatCap model 800 and im gonna be running my subwoofer amp off of it. I whould follow figure three. THey say to run a dedicated ground from the negative battery post to the amp for the lowest possible voltage drop. It wont make a huge differance if you follow fig. 3 plus like isaac said keep it under 18" for the chassis ground to amp to batcap.
