ok so i was looking at these bat cap things and i came upon the installation page, it says when are going to ground your bat cap AVOID chassis ground and it has some diagrams
http://www.batcap.net/Installation.htm
can someone please clarify why they dont want us to ground at the chassis?????????
Follow fig 3 and you'll be fine. Last thing you want to do is fig 1 and 2. Ground wire should be kept to 18" or shorter. What they're asking will require 15' of ground wire. It'll pick up lot of noise. They're stupid.
InfinityLova I own a BatCap model 800 and im gonna be running my subwoofer amp off of it. I whould follow figure three. THey say to run a dedicated ground from the negative battery post to the amp for the lowest possible voltage drop. It wont make a huge differance if you follow fig. 3 plus like isaac said keep it under 18" for the chassis ground to amp to batcap.
