OHM confusion ???????

If component speakers are set up at 4 ohm then an amp would have to be run at 4 ohms as well right? or could they be run at 2 ohm to get a higher RMS?

You can technically run any amp on any driver as long as the impedance of the amp matches or is lower than the impedance of the driver. You want to generally match up impedances, however.
I'm not sure if you'd actually get more power out of it or not.

that helps alot on picking out an amp but what would u suggest for the a good 2 channel amp under 300 or would it be better to get a 4 channel amp for all of my speakers or just the components?
