Is there any advantage to getting an Alpine head unit if you are hooking it up to an Alpine MRV545 amp. Right now I am Planning on getting the Alpine 9855. The salesman claims there is an advantage. Where I'm buying it sells Pioneer and Clarion as well. Any thoughts. Thanks
The headunit itself has an amplifier link that controls some aspect of the V12 series amps. Other than that, I can't think of any reason why you would have an advantage to having the same brand amp as your headunit.
