hi i was wondering do i need a powercap in my system?
i have 2 15"magnat subs in a sealed box, caliber line driver,pro- plus nemesis class d- amp 2000rms @ 1ohm 1200rms @ 2 ohm, 600rms @ 4ohm.
audio bahnn components at front, tape head unit/radio. standard battery thick power cable.
all in a peugeot 206 gti english specification..
what do you guys think???

8 farad, or higher. New HO Alternator unless you already have one. good luck!

you never need a capacitor.
if your lights are dimming, replace the "big 3" for wiring
if they still dim, look at a larger alternator and a yellow top battery

i have a sony explode system in my car when my bass goes my lights dim and some times it will completly shout off my stereo ?
whats wrong?

the system shuts off due to thermal protection mode on the amplifiers being triggered by the amps clipping.
amplifiers are clipping due to lack of sufficient current and voltage rails sagging.
fix would be a larger alternator, or lower volume.
