I wouldn't really suggest it. Just put a 60 amp inline fuse in, and if you want the ability to switch the main power line off and on, get a Batter Master switch.
if you use the right one, a thermal circuit breaker works well @ the battery. Klixon makes very good ones. variable current setting. automatic trip reset. MilSpec. I used one in a couple of my own applications. they aren't made for car audio applications, but they work just fine for them.
