Hey, I am looking into getting an Atlas 12" and I want to know what kind of amp I should get to power it, I am looking to save space, cause I don't have much of it in my trunk.

I got a budget of about 200-250 dollars.

For about 250, is the Atlas a good idea, I know it is 145, but is there something better that requires a small enclosure in the 150-250 range?

Being that the Atlas is really more of an SQ sub, I would run a class AB amp on it. Also, its an SVC 4ohms sub...so a 2ch class AB amp bridged would be a nice match.

you may wanna look at some of these amps:

kicker kx250.2 (less that $140 shipped on ebay)
orion 3002 (about $150 shipped 0on ebay)
orion 2150sx
rockford fosgate 301S

these are just suggestions off the top of my head. oh, and the atlas would make a nice daily driver sub.
