Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 7687 Registered: Dec-03 | the 400.1 draws moer than the rated current for 8ga wire so yes, use 4ga or larger. using 8ga is going to cause current loss via resistance, which generates heat. you'll melt the 8ga wire, which will cause a short and quite probably a car fire. |
