Does Focal make a speaker in the range of the JL XR650-CXI 6.5" Components? If so, how would you rate the two? They will be hooked up to an Alpine MRV-545 amp. Thanks.
i've heard the focals will sound better then the XR's, even the lower model Focals. if you have a Tweeter (HiFi Buys, Sound Advice) around you, they should carry both if they have gotten the Focals in
I'm really mainly a fan of Focal Utopias, the Polykevlars are nice and I'd put those closest to the XRs in performance, but they are a good bit more expensive. The Polyglass line is closest in price, but I'd take the XRs over them anyday. In the price range of the XRs, you should look at Adire Audio Koda components. IMO it's one of the best sets in the $350 price range.
