Bronze Member Username: TpizzlePost Number: 87 Registered: Apr-05 | it only is 250 rms, no idea on the max. ascendantaudio.com does not say. i want best quality for under $200. thanks for the tip donny i think you started tomorrows holiday a little early |
Silver Member Username: PharohBradford, Ontario Canada Post Number: 154 Registered: Jan-05 | max doesent matter. It cannot bottom out anyway. RMS can only strain the spider |
Silver Member Username: Tdeaton1021Near Tampa, Florida USA Post Number: 247 Registered: Sep-04 | i believe the rms is 300 isnt it? |
Gold Member Username: James1115Wilton, Ct Post Number: 2373 Registered: Dec-04 | If your deck has a x-over built in I would go with a ppi a300.2 you can find one on ebay for under $150 most of the time and it is a very nice amp especially for that sub |
Bronze Member Username: TpizzlePost Number: 90 Registered: Apr-05 | well i have a panasonic deck (the ones with like 5 short movie clips stored in). what is an x-over. the atlas website says about 250 rms for the sub |
Silver Member Username: Bnd_rulezPhoenix, AZ USA Post Number: 435 Registered: Mar-05 | The RMS depends on the size of the box. 250 watts is just a well rounded number that is good to go with seeing as how the sub was designed for it. |
Gold Member Username: James1115Wilton, Ct Post Number: 2379 Registered: Dec-04 | the a300.2 will be perfect Chad gave those "RMS" numbers low because he didnt want people going and pumping 800 watts into a atlas. The exact thing he told me was that if he put a RMS of 500 on it people would run 750 and if he put a 250 rms on it people would run 400-500 so he said right around 250-350 that sub is happy |
Bronze Member Username: TpizzlePost Number: 93 Registered: Apr-05 | alright cool Chad must be a guy working for ascendantaudio or who is he? ill probably go with the PPI but what other good $200 amps do you reccommend just so i can look around. thanks for the help |
Silver Member Username: Bnd_rulezPhoenix, AZ USA Post Number: 437 Registered: Mar-05 | Chad is the owner of Ascendant Audio.I will just go with the PPI, you cannot beat that quality for tha price. |
