yo i am getting an Atlas 12" and now have to decide on an amp. they dont take much to run them hard what should i get. i have a $200 budget.

i just came up with the idea of an elemental designes nine.2 .. its 400 rms at 4 ohms

it only is 250 rms, no idea on the max. ascendantaudio.com does not say. i want best quality for under $200. thanks for the tip donny i think you started tomorrows holiday a little early

max doesent matter. It cannot bottom out anyway. RMS can only strain the spider

If your deck has a x-over built in I would go with a ppi a300.2 you can find one on ebay for under $150 most of the time and it is a very nice amp especially for that sub:-)

well i have a panasonic deck (the ones with like 5 short movie clips stored in). what is an x-over. the atlas website says about 250 rms for the sub

The RMS depends on the size of the box. 250 watts is just a well rounded number that is good to go with seeing as how the sub was designed for it.

the a300.2 will be perfect Chad gave those "RMS" numbers low because he didnt want people going and pumping 800 watts into a atlas. The exact thing he told me was that if he put a RMS of 500 on it people would run 750 and if he put a 250 rms on it people would run 400-500 so he said right around 250-350 that sub is happy:-)

alright cool Chad must be a guy working for ascendantaudio or who is he? ill probably go with the PPI but what other good $200 amps do you reccommend just so i can look around. thanks for the help

Chad is the owner of Ascendant Audio.I will just go with the PPI, you cannot beat that quality for tha price.

hey dbbass, i have an interfire IB2900C amp that is 225 watts rms times 2 at 4 ohms bridged 2 ohm stable 550 watts, that i will sell you for 225 shipped

ide do it but i only got 1 sub with 250-300rms. i think your amp will be too powerful. do you have suggestions for amps for my Atlas. what about fosgate, hifonics, PPI, maybe even JL. i only have $200.

dbbass ... i thought u were on a budget? you mentioned JL... a 250/1 im sure would push that sub great but its quite expensive ... i think more like 300 on ebay ... i know its 300 on woofersetc.com

any1 know about the zapco iforce amps? there is one that is 350 x1 at 4 ohms bridged for 225... sounds good but idk

i would buy it but i have a hard time trusting regular sellers on ebay, i have heard stories. if i buy on ebay i only go with powerseller companies.
