I have a 95 impala cop car manual says it has a 140 amp alt im only running 1 1600 watt amp and a 1200 watt solo baric should that be enough or should i get a cap?
caps do nothing for the charging system. try the amp and see how it goes. if lights dim etc, you'll need to step up to a larger alternator.. probably 200A.
