i have a mazda 2000 626 with a bose cd player system and speakers the cd player won't execpt cds anymore and its more to fix it than it is to buy a new one so im going to get a nother HU for my car but i was wondering if i should change the 6x9s in the back to get more thump. i know bose are very good but maby not as good as some of the lowerend 6x9s speakers, does anyone know what the rms and max watts on the speakers are?????

stay away from 6x9's. oval speakers are not as accurate at reproducing sound as round speakers. get some 6.5" midbass speakers and some adapter brackets to fit. low-pass filter them with either the new HU or some simple hand-made passive crossovers. are you getting an amp?
and just so you know, bose aint what it's cracked up to be.
