I've been into computer modding for awhile and i've amassed a rather large collection of CCFL's from frozencpu.com and inverters for them. I realize i can hook these up to my battery directly and use a switch...but i dont wanna forget to turn them off or something. can i hook these up to the 12V power source on my CD player? this is still the full 12V's...and it turns off when the car turns off...plus i could still wire in the switch. any ideas why this would or wouldn't work??
It would work...you might be better off wiring it off of a fuse on the fuseblock that turns off with the car rather than taking power from the headunit. That's your call, though.
