New member Username: GonzoPost Number: 1 Registered: Apr-05 | Hi, I just got a hand-me-down Sony Xplode 500w amp. I hooked it up as correct as possible and seem ready to go..... BUT! As soon as I turn my car on it works for like 10 seconds and then cuts out. If I restart my car right away it wont go back on. So I wait about 20-30 sec. Then turn my car on again, BOOM it's on!.....for about 10 sec. again and then cuts out. So I ask, any clue whats up???? please e-mail me with answers : rockthevotesa@yahoo.com |

Silver Member Username: FishyTamarac Ft.Laud, FL USA Post Number: 823 Registered: Sep-04 | If I was a betting man I'd lay odds that you have those subs wired in a fashion that provides an impedance too low for that poor ol Sony to deal with causing it to go into protection mode. Amp power specs and sub impedance/wiring info would go a long way in helping us diagnose your problem. -Fishy |
