New member Username: Mkiv18tPost Number: 4 Registered: Feb-05 | I am trying to find an amp to run 2 Boston Accoustics GS1000 10" subs. On their site, they spec out the subs capable of handling 50 - 400W @ 2ohms. Any suggestions for an amp? |

MTX and JBL are well built for the price. http://www.caraudiocentral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=32 http://www.wickedcases.com/caraudio/amplifiers.html http://www.wickedcases.com/caraudio/ampspecs.html www.bcae1.com |

Silver Member Username: Jwbulger79Florida Post Number: 309 Registered: Nov-04 | if you have two single voice coil subs that are 2ohms each, you can wire them in series to get a 4ohm total load on the amp. look on page 8 of your sub's manual and it will show you exactly how to wire it. you can download it here if you don't have it anymore. it's the "ProSeries, Competitor, Generator Subwoofers" link. http://www.bostonacoustics.com/support_car_manuals.asp good info on series and parallel hook ups www.bcae1.com (page 58) |
