Thursday, March 17, 2005 - 05:38 GMT Im not sure what kind of options I have for amps. The 15" is going to be in a 2.25 sealed box so I'm guessing I'm going to need around 1000 watts. I thought about getting the JL 1000/1 buts its sooo expensive. Any other options under $500 that wouldnt be much different from the 1000/1? Should I really save up for the 1000/1. I know I can get it for like $730.

Thursday, March 17, 2005 - 06:00 GMT Anyone like or have experience with alpine Amps? I thought the "Alpine MRD-M1005" looked good.

Thursday, March 17, 2005 - 06:02 GMT That kicker will only produce enough if I run it @ 1 ohm. If I run it @ 1 ohm it will really affect the damping factor if I read that correctly somewhere.

Thursday, March 17, 2005 - 06:20 GMT the kicker will work just fine. the dampening factor will drop at 1ohm, but the kx1200.1 will still be a good amp.
