Okay, I think I've decided what to get, but I just want to run it by everyone here and see if anyone sees an improvement I can make without adding cost.

PPI PCX-1250 (~$200)
Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1dvq (~$200)
1.5 ft^3 sealed enclosure (whatever it cost to build)

If you are looking for extreme sound quality, you should also look into the Image Dynamics IDQ's. I'm sure they'd be in the same league as the Infinity's, possibly better.

Yeah, they seem pretty similar, but I think I'm going to stick with the Perfects since it seems that everything I found (wasn't much) comparing the two says that they are a little better (sound a little better, go a little lower, and hit a little harder)

Yeah, it should sound fine then. I knew there wouldn't be much of a difference between the IDQ and the Perfect.

Actually the IDQ's go lower and I have heard that the IDQ's are a better sub. Thats what I would go with but the Kappa Perfects are a good sub too.

IDQ's
Frequency Response: 10-150 Hz

Kappa Perfect's
Frequency Response: 18Hz - 150Hz

I got a kappa perfect 12.1 getting roughly 300RMS and the quality of sound it gives in a sealed box for everyday driving is just amazing. its a great buy for the price

I just ordered a pair of 12" IDQ's myself. I'm gonna run them off of a JBL BP600.1 I'm also getting a set of Dynaudio system 240 GT components and running them off of a Zapco 350.2. I'm all about SQ incase you couldn't tell, lol. What do you think of that system?

Sounds really nice man. Should be beautiful once everything's installed. How much was the Dynaudio components and the Zapco amp? I'm kinda shopping around for a good component set and an amp, probably won't buy anything untill this summer but I wanna figure out what I'm gonna get.

Tell us how everything sounds when you get it installed.

Well, here is my final SQL system.
Nakamichi HU
DLS Iridium 6.2 Comps run by Zapco 200.2
2 15" Diamond Audio TDX's run by a Zapco 500.1
I used Symbilink for all the wiring.

What would you rate it on a scale from 1-10??

(Joe Smoe, i got incredible deals on all of my stuff from this guy i met on ebay. If you are interested in his contact information let me know. He gave me my zapco amps for example at only $15 over dealer cost.)

I'm getting the Dyn's and the amp online from a website for $989 shipped. I'm gonna keep shopping around though because I bet I could find a better deal, but the IDQ's im getting online for about $400 with about 15% off and free shipping so I'm getting them for $340 shipped. All of these come with a 1 year warranty and I already had the JBL BP600.1, which I got for $150 shipped, used on ebay

Yeah, I'm interest in this guy too. Tell him a Nick Sattelberg is interested in buying an amp from him. And do you by anychance know what all he is selling? I'm looking for a good 600 - 900 watt rms amp. I'm thinking about getting an Orion HCAA 250g4, but I wanted to see what this guy has.

He owns his own car audio shop and does custom installation. He mostly only carries high end brands. i have an idea what brands he is selling, here a few.

Alpine
MTX
Zapco
DLS
Arc- He has got the new flat piston subs that are suppose to be truely amazing
Diamond Audio
Treo

That is all i can think of right now. I have never asked about orion before.

I will let him know your interested. Doug and Joe, i let him know that you are both interested and i told him that you guys would contact him. His name is Rich and you can use either the phone number or his e-mail. He doesnt check his e-mail till late at night and the number i gave you is to his shop and his hours are 9-6.

Yes Doug the IDQ's go lower, but human hearing is only down to 20 Hz anyways, and I'm going for the SQ that stands for Sound Quality, not the other SQ (Shake Quality).

Oh, and Doug. I was just looking at your setup and I was curious why you went with just one bp600.1 to power both subs... just seems a bit underpowered to me. I mean, they're rated at 350W apiece which is already 700W for both... and that's just RMS. I would've gotten a bp600.1 for each one. It's always better to overpower than underpower.

I had that amp leftover from my old subs.

"I would've gotten a bp600.1 for each one"

You wouldv'e run 600 watts into each one of those subs? I don't think that would be too good for them. Plus the BP600.1 is underatted so I figured its a close enough match. Also I'm gonna look into a pair of Adire Brahama's and a better amp once I get some more money. I figured those would do for now.

How does this sound for nice sq/spl? I am gonna go with the diaomond audio m651's componants or another recomandation for componants from you all. My system consists of 2 jl 500/1's powering 2 13w6's. Im looking for a nice 2 channel amp to match with a nice componant set up front that will keep my electrical systems total draw lsss then 150 amps. Can anyone help me find a nice 2 channel amp for a good price??? I am gonna end up getting a 150 amp alternator to supply the system. Im at 100amps right now.

Whats the best subwoofer or subwoofers from JL to run a 500/1 off of for best SQ and SPL? I rather it be 2 subs and the 500/1. I think 2 12w3v2's. what you guys think?
