Amplifier Remote is the Blue wire on the head unit it goes to the remote on the amp. This is the way it is hooked up most of the time. Now that being said. There is no way to play the head unit without the amp being on also. I like to hook my remote wire to a switch not the head unit. This way I can play the head unit and the amp will not be on. Flip the switch and boom it's on.
