I have a 12" RF HX2 and it sounds horrible. Sounds like it is bottoming out. How can you resolve that problem?

if its bottoming out wouldn't that be caused by too much power?

lots of possibilities. you could have the sub wired wrong...could be the wrong enclosure.....it has a distorted power supply....i hope you dont want sq out of this sub because you will not get it. please give more info

I put it in a larger box last night and it sounds a whole lot better. I have it wired in parallel it's dual 2 ohm. But the other problem is my amp i think. I don't know any specs on it. A friend gave it to me. I know it has PLENTY of power, but don't exactley know how much. It is an MA Audio. It's huge and he says it's mono block 1 ohm stable, but it has 2 channels to hook up. He still insists that it is mono block. I can't find anything on it anywhere.
