is there a tool you can use to tell the diff in wiring..as far as pos/neg..i want to rewire my 6X9's but want to make sure pos/neg wires are where they are supposed to be..
Get one AA battery and two wires. Put one wire on each end of the battery. Hold or tape it. Take the 6x9 and hold it with the cone down and magnet up. Now put the wires on the studs. Watch the cone when you hit the stud if the cone moves out and away from the magnet, then the wire from the battery+ is the speaker +, if it does not move or moves back up near the magnet it is wrong.
