I was just wondering if it is safe to run subwoofers for short amounts of time on a bench in no enclosure. Obviously i'm not pushing them to their full potential, but really just playing around with them to watch the excursion. (untill i put it in a box) Is this going to cause any damage to the speaker?
also, i have a quick quesion, what adhesive(s) are used for glueing the surround of a cone to the basket, and in glueing the spider to the basket. is it just like epoxy? or is there some special purpose adhesive?
