I was wondering if the Audiobahn A8002T rated at 200X2 4ohms 400x2 2ohms would be able to handle my 12" dvc 375rms 750 peak each...if i hook it up at a 2 ohm load or would i have to keep the load at 4.
keep the 4 ohms load. Both voice coils wired in series. This is useful when wiring multiple subwoofers to an amplifier. For example, wiring both coils of a dual 4 ohm subwoofer in series produces an 8 ohm load. Wiring this in parallel with an identically configured subwoofer produces an overal load of 4 ohms - perfect for most bridged two channel amplifiers. p.s. i`v seen cheap one on ebay
A8002T is a 4ohms bridged amp, so have your subs wired parallel to itself then in series for a 4ohms total load. Make sure you have the level/gain set properly. That amp seem to have a noise problem from my experience. When summer comes, I'm going to have it replaced with a whipser quiet cpu fan. The one inside is a cheap one.
