ok i think i found the perfect amp to run my 90W infinity 6000cs speakers and 300W infinity reference sub. The SoundStream VGA 500.4 puts out 125W x 4 @ 4ohm which should be anuf for my speakers, and 500W x 2 bridged @ 4 ohm. Since my sub will be an 8ohm load, they should get about 250W right? Which should be enough to get a decent performance out of them? I just need to know if soundstream are a decent brand and whethet this amp is capable of doind this (i.e. able to do 3channel)
Yes it is capable of doing 3 channel (I looked at this amp quite a bit but decided on something else)...from what I hear it's a pretty good amp but is lacking in heatsink size and has no fan to help dissipate the heat it may generate.
ah k kool. yeh i think its the perfect amp for me but i was just double checking cuz i hadn't heard much about Soundstream. The amp will be going in the boot so hopefully there is enough air cirulation there to keep it from overheating
