Hi, my OEM car antenna recently stopped working. I purchased a new antenna from Antennax.com. It worked for a couple times, then as soon as it finishes going up or down, it keeps going, and clicking, sounding like it's slipping or something... it will not stop until I cut power from it in the cabling. My question is this: does this sound like an antenna problem, or electrical/radio problem? I need to know whether there is somethign wrong with my car, or the antenna itself. Thanks! Richard.
well, the power antenna trigger from the radio is usually a constant 12 volt signal. the antenna, or some control module between the radio and antenna should control the movement when it extends. most of the time, it's the antenna that senses when it's reached full extension and stops.
