What kind of caps are best for a crossover application? (high pass, low pass, band pass) Ceramic, Electrolytic or Metal Film?

Thanks!

Mylar, polypropylene and polyester are some used, but generally cost a bit more.

the least expensive route is non-polarized electrolytic/

for inductors, the best are air-core coils.
for capacitors, polypropylene capacitors are the best.

what cap voltage rating would be best do you think for a 200w amp driving 4ohms rated at 50w rms and 185w peak?

thanks again

I'd just use polypro caps that are designed and sold specifically for audio crossovers, like ones from PAC. how much is the amp putting out per channel RMS?
