OK here is the deal. I am starting my build on a Chevrolet Avalanche. Tomorrow.
Question 1.
What is your opinions on putting a 6.5 plus a 8 inch mid in the stock factory door for staging.
The door will be completely Dynamated with Xtreme.
Speakers are Diamond audio M661 and Kicker RMB8.
Here are the specs.

M661

Type: Component
Drivers: Tweeter, Midbass
Drivers per Channel: 2
Woofer Cone: Titanium-Magnesium
Tweeter Cone: Silk
Tweeter Mounting: Flush, Surface, Angle
Specifications
Power Range (watts): 20-170
Imped (ohms): 4
Crossover Included: Y
Sensitivity with w/2.83-V input @ 1 meter (dB SPL): 91
Freq. Response (±3dB): 46Hz-24KHz
Dimensions
Mount Depth: 2-1/8"
Diameter: 6-1/2"
Tweeter Dia: 1"

MODEL RMB 8
Frequency 30-500
Power 350 / 175 RMS

What is your opinion on this set up and location. Now acouple of things to remember are the midbass RMB8 are free air. and the door on this truck has the new L shape design for the factory speaker. I am curiouse on your thoughts on this before I begin.

sounds fine but if you're going that route why not just use the dynaudio system 340 or 360?
they are 3 way systems with the tweeter, midrange, and midbass all together and properly crossed over.

Cost Cost Cost. With A Baby on the way. I cant justify a 800.00 set of speakers when the wife can buy baby furniture with it. I will be running them of a Coustic XM7 for the crossover. That should do the trick for the settings. I can get as good as what I have with the baby on the way. I think if tuned right I could be very happy with the results.
