Pioneer Premier CD/WMA/MP3 and Pioneer DVD

Unregistered guest
I'm not sure yet if I want to purchase a CD/WMA/MP3 receiver or a DVD receiver. But the two models I've been considering are: for the CD/WMA/MP3, Pioneer Premier DEH-P940MP; and for the DVD, Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD.

Anyone have any opinoins of this equipment? I've heard that Pioneer is good, and the Premier series is the best Pioneer products for CD/WMA/MP3. Is this true? I mostly listen to rock and heavy metal, like Metallica, but sometimes I'll throw in a bass CD and let the system thump.

Would these products be a good choice, and be worth the money? I can get the AVH-P7500DVD for $1,589.99 and it's M.S.R.P. is $2,700.00. I can also get the DEH-P940MP for $534.00, M.S.R.P. being $890.00.

Should I jump on these opportunities?

Pioneer Premier is very good.
I have an older top of teh line model of theirs.
Alpine is equally as good, if not better.
Alpine has great MP3 decoding/features.
I also prefer the look of the Alpines.

Worth comparing.

You may also wish to look at Eclipse, which is the best of all three. Probably the most expensive, too.
