Problem with H/u

I just recently installed a generic cd/mp3 unit into my Ford Econoline to replace my old cd player and I noticed that whenever I hit a bump or turned too sharp or stopped a little short it would completely lose power and then turn back on. After triple checking all my connections I called their tech support and was told it was defective. So i decided to go ahead and get a completely DIFFERENT deck, a panasonic cd/mp3. And now it is doing the same thing. I am assuming this is a ground problem because all the settings stay where they were when it comes back on, and it even starts back at the point of the cd that it was on. But I ground it in the same place as the previous decks. Now I have had 2 decks in this car previsouly and NEVER had this problem. Any help would be great!!
