New member Username: IllusionarymanPost Number: 4 Registered: Nov-04 | i have 2x 250W 4ohms Pioneer Speakers and connected them to Alpine (MRV-F310)(2-CH) 1 Speaker to each channel and the sound seems to be a bit low and i was wondering to know if its ganna increase the output power if i wire both speakers as parallel and connect it to 1-Channel on the amp. on the amp manual it says: per channel into 4ohms...........30W(0.04%THD) per channel into 2ohms...........50W(0.03%THD) Bridged into 4ohms...............100W(0.03%THD) here is the manual: http://www.nrg1.com/Alp_bruksanvisninger/Owners/M/MRV-T301/68P90664W84-B.pdf the bridge on this amp is 4ohms..can i connect the speakers on it even though it's not matching the ohms. thanx for any replys |
Gold Member Username: GlasswolfNorthWest, Michigan USA Post Number: 5982 Registered: Dec-03 | what speakers are these? what size, and how many ohms are tehy? that amp is only 30 watts x 2 @ 4 ohms. if these are subs, that amp is far too small to use well. bridging an amp doesn't increase power really. all it does is put full power into 4 ohms for a single speaker. if you have two 4 ohm speakers, or even two 2 ohm speakers, you'll get the same results bridged as you will with one speaker per channel. |
