slot ports are easier to just integrate into the box when you build the enclosure

always build a new enclosure or have someone build it for you if you're ever going to go ported, never try to port a sealed box....its pretty difficult to do and never really turns out so hot

Fb - is the tuning frequency of your enclosure in Hertz.
Lv - is the length of your port in inches.
R - is the inside radius of your vent tube.
Vb - is the internal volume of your enclosure in cubic inches. To convert cubic feet to cubic inches, multiply by 1728.

the equation Lv = {[(1.463 x 10^7)R^2] / [(Fb^2)(Vb)]} - 1.463R

using the forumla square root of : (a / 3.14)

will give you the approximate radius (R) of a rectangular port

this is what i use and its worked pretty well for me, maybe it will for you too
