hey,Right now ive got soem cash and i need some subs, preferable Type r's and i would either want an alpine sub so i could go all alpine or a JBL600.1 amp. I was jus wondering wat stuff i should go with, like which type R's and wich alpine. Right now i got an alpine 9827 deck and 4 speakers in my car and i would like to go all alpine, unless the JBL would be better then any midranged alpine amp. i drive a nissen maxima if that makes a difference.

I run two 12" Alpine Type Rs with a V12 MRD-M501 class D mono digital alpine amp @ 14.5V; this setup HITS! My radar detector always bounces up and smacks against my windshield (it's going to break one day), I can bounce objects placed on top of the car, and I can never keep my mirrors adjusted. Besides the bump factor these subs are VERY well built, you can tell the craftsmanship is superb right when you take them out of the box.

For some information on the Type R check out this link and read some of my favorite listed features below:

- Kevlar reinforced cone
- Dual Nomex Spiders
- Very well crafted basket and rubber protection around the double stacked magnets.
- VERY punchy and accurate; I listen to Death Metal and switch up between Techno sometimes and they handle both genres with ease.

For some information on the V12 amp check out this post and these links:

I purchased my products from www.etronics.com for the following prices:

1. 12" 1221D Alpine Type R subwoofers - $110.00
2. Alpine V12 MRD-M501 Class D amp - $260.00

*Hope this post helped!
