2 Eclipse 15" Titanium cone subwoofers (750 rms each) and a hifonics brutus amp(1500 watt at 1 ohm) This will run about 1300. HOw do these subs match up against brahmas and x.x.x. subs? Is there a better way to spend 1300 dollars just buying the sub(s) and amp(s). Is Hifonics a good brand with the amp since its less than 300 dollars. Thanks.
The Eclipses are good subs, but I'd look for a better amp. I think they are a sub company of Audiobahn or some similar company. Zapco, Kicker, Orion, Sinfoni, US Amps, JL Audio, there are many other good companies out there. Going to pay more for clean power though.
Personally, I'd do a better amp and just one Titanium. Then, do a slot ported box for it and you'll be good to go. Plenty of SPL and IMO they stack right up there with X.X.X.'s and Brahmas. They perform very well ported and are underrated, I'd give them around 1000W RMS of clean power.
