I have a 1999 Dodge Durango with the infinity sound system. I would like to replace the rear speakers (speakers behind the front seats) with after market. The dealer said the factory speakers are special and they do not recommend replacing them with after-market. I have looked at many different after-market speakers but am unsure what will sound as good or better than the factory.

Steve, Run out to you professional store (not best buy) and try all at least 2 speaks in your price range...one set with textile tweets and one with metal. Make sure they are driven by their radios, not their amps. Snap em up and have them installed. Your audio guy is lying. What about the fronts...or do you like that old Pontiac Fiero soundstage?
