Square port or circle

ok, i have a square sub, its a kicker solobaric, do i need to have a square or (slot) port? or can i just have a regular old circle port? someone please help!

You think the air can tell the difference?
I mean, aesthetically, Id use a slot port
because of the shape of the subs..
But it doesnt matter.

thanks alot man, hey, i've heard that solobaric L7's have a tendancy to juss fail and blow for no reason. is this true or are these people who are sayin it juss hatas? cause i juss bought a solobaric s12L7

It is true.
Then again I know people who throw
3000 watts a piece on em for comps and dont have problems.
Depends on the install and the surrounding equipement, and how you treat it.

i have 2 L5's, will a jl 500.1 amp be powerful enough to run these subs with enough power to make them hit hard?

yeah man, juss make sure you put em in a ported box cause that will like double your bass response in the area of SPL sound pressure level. the decibles but yes the amp should be juss fine cause you can put like 250 watts to each if you split the power and i know a kid with one L7 and he pushes like 300 watts to only one of his in a ported box and that thing is as loud as you will ever ever need it, you can hear the biotch from like a block away
