Sunday, October 24, 2004 - 03:23 GMT sony amps are total crap. very high failure rates and very poor performance. no good amps are under $100. the JBL P80.4 is about the cheapest amp I know worth buying that'd do the job.

Sunday, October 24, 2004 - 23:29 GMT now that's a much better budget to work with. you're getting closer to some decent amps. look at JBL, see what fits your needs. for 5x7 and 5.25" speakers though, you'd only ned about 40wRMS x 4 @ 4 ohms. that'll be a small, and relatively inexpensive amp to find.
