generally "MOSFET" (metal oxide semiconductor field effect transistor) refers to the type of power supply in the amplifier.
It's a class D amplifier topology from the sounds of it.
3000 watts though. Is this the PD3000 Boss amp by chance?
most of the times I see a listing like yours it's either one of Boss's class D amps, or a similar product.
just curious.. some of their PD series amps seem to do pretty well. I see a number of folks actually speak well of them.
most of their other products though.. *shiver*

ehh it's a rack mount amp and if ya look closely, it's 3Kw "max" not RMS.
and that's likely at 1 ohm, so actual output is more like a couple hundred watts.
not worth nearly $500.

LOL thats funny.. i just saw it on there and was wonderin why a 3000 watt amp was goin so cheap...

It is a auction but the price isnt that bad and i wanted to know if its worth it.
