Speaker cables

Hi all,

I need some feedback as I've been researching speaker cabling for a while, but have become increasingly confused.

I am installing 4 new MA Silver series speakers: S6 front and S1 rear (will add center later).
The S6 is about 12-15 feet from my Pioneer Elite VSX-54TX receiver and the S1's are about 25' (must run under floor in crawlspace.

Several have said that using power cables and soldering on my own connectors is perfect (cable is cable), and others have said that going to the expense of purchasing good quality speaker cable is better. I also saw an e-mail about purchasing cable from Radio Shack and putting on my own spade or banana plugs.

Can you possibly provide me some recommendations considering that the 25' cable will need to be run under the floor (exposed to cold)?

Thanks!
