Speaker wires and RCA wires

I have a quick question,

My current receiver just broke, now I'm looking to buy a new one. The speaker outputs for the one I'm about to buy has room for the 2 speaker wires for each speaker, my old receiver used rca jacks for the speakers. So my question is, is there a way to use my current speakers (with the RCA ends), with this new reciver (witch needs the stripped ends).

Is it possible to just cut the wire?

I also saw these http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=42-2449
But can find one with a female end

Thanks guys money is limited, cant afford new speakers right now.

Cut the RCA off of the end that hooks up to the new receiver and use bare wire at the speaker terminals.
