Hi, thanks for the code but i have waited for over half an hour with ignition on but 0000 hasnt come back on the screen yet just the time flashing and the temp and a white screen!
Any other ideas which i can use to reset the counter to allow me to

The waiting time depends on how many wrong codes have been entered previously so on some radios it can be 12 or more hours.

However it is normally only an hour or two.

Why disconnect the battery?

The solution is to leave it SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED until it has reset itself. The important word is UNDISTURBED because if it is interrupted then the waiting time starts all over again

This normally takes an hour or two...unless you have entered far too many wrong codes then it may take much longer.

An alternative method is to remove the radio from the car, connect it to a spare battery and aerial and leave it switched on overnight on your garage workbench
