I have a Kenwood KDC-MP4026V system in my car with 4 speakers. I bought the car recently for secondhand. The car is 10 years old and I dont know the purchase date of the cd player. Now, before a few days, I went to a car cd seller, and asked him about usb functionality. he said that it is possible to add usb functionality in the car cd player, without damaging or changing the unit. I could then play mp3s from usb drives, and it wouldn't cost much more. Can I know if it s possible without changing the unit? Will they modify the circuit? Can anyone please tell? I am a newbie to cars and car audios.

You can't add USB but you can connect a MP3 player using the following:

http://my.kenwood.com/Car_Entertainment/Accessories/CA-C1AX

You can get it here:
