I've had 4 Eclipse SW9122's for a couple years now. One of the surrounds blew out and since Eclipse went out of business I can't replace it. I'm ready to get something with more SPL. I haven't been keeping up with car audio for awhile so I'm not sure what I need. I was considering 2 x 18" Solo-x's but I'm not really big on Kicker subs....what is comprimable as far as SPL? I have a kicker 2500 watt amp but am willing to replace it.....was thinking about the Kicker Workhorse. Thanks for your input

Kicker Warhorse? Idk if thats necessary.

As far as SPL goes I'd look into
Digital Designs 9500's http://www.ddaudio.com/mobile-audio/woofers/9500-series.aspx
DC Audio XL's (http://www.dcsoundlab.com/woofers.html)
Fi BL (https://ssl.perfora.net/www.ficaraudio.com/sess/utn154de17404ca020/shopdata/0050 _Speakers/0020_BL/product_overview.shopscript)

... thats all I can really think of off the top of my head.

Thanks for all of the ideas. Lots to choose from but I think I will go with two Fi N318's. I like the idea of being able to order direct from the company. So if I get another KX2500.1 amp I should be goo to go, right? Thanks again.

the N3's are not for music those are for the guys that go to comps and burp one note, get the N2's and just beef them up a little.

I'm running two alternators - 120A and 240A. Probably need to get another 240 amper.

The LMS Ultra isn't an SPL sub, wtf? That's the mack daddy of low distortion.

You might just want one of the subs that can take wall socket abuse, TSNS, APX/APXX, Warden, SMD, ETC...

Recone the Eclipse? Where can I get that done? Eclipse won't have anything to do with it. I can't find a QCA anywhere.

I put in a service request with fixmyspeaker.com. I really like the Eclipse so It would be great if I could get them fixed.
Eclipse didn't go out of business, they told me that they just don't do aftermarket anymore. I will contact fi and see what they can do. Thanks for all of your help.

first things first,
Do you plane to play music with it?
How many cu ft do you have? (x" x y" x z")
How many rms is you elect system capable to handle?
How much to you want to spend?

We can recomend big spl sub but if the fit or within you budget were all wasting our time

If you have the space look at the

Digital Designs 9918Z
MTX Jackhammer
Kicker solo x
Kicker L7

The list go on......

I'm not big on the Kicker subs. I would however consider the Solo-X but not after the options I've been given here. If I can't get the surrounds repaired then I will go with 2 of the 18" N2's. I will have to build a box for them.

hmmmm....are you just talking a daily loud musical setup or are you talking you want to compete in an org and go all out for numbers? because the 2 are totally different. i would plan it all out. and start with electrical. good batteries and alternators are a good start. like i said. everything depends on how much power you plan to run and what frequencies you want to play lol
