Well I recently got 2 Fi Q 12's on 3000 watts and they completely drown out my front stage.

I currently have: 2 Eclipse SE5000 5.25 3 ways in my doors, 2 Mobile Spec 3-way 6x9's in the rear deck, all powered off a JVC KD-R600 head unit.

I have some experience with subs, but im a total noob with front stage. I dont know whether to go with components or coaxials, and i have no idea how powerful of an amp I need

My suggestion:
first, stop using the ehad unit for power.
get a good 4 channel amp with 50 to 75 watts per channel @ 4 ohms
wire as follows:

bridge rear 2 channels, and wire your back 6x9s in series on the bridged channels (same power but puts the rears in mono so they don't destroy your soundstage or imaging) then fade to the front with the head unit so they are barely audible from the driver seat.

next, look at something like the Focal Polyglass 165 VR components, Infinity Kappa Perfects, or similar. I really good set of 2-way separates. Drive those with your front pair of amplifier channels in stereo.

difference will be night and day.

I cant get the ebay links to work but i also found some Boston Acoustics S50 somponents for $120, Infinity 5030cs components for $120, Alpine type R components for $135, JBL P560c components for $140, and Orion XTR52 components for $140.

I saw a lot of products from diamond audio, cadence, and mb quart in this price range. are these any good?

I apoligize for the lengthy list.

any of them will be OK.
I'd lean toward the Type R or BA sets, or look at the CDT CL61 components too.
all 3 are good. You just want a decent front stage, and as importantly, power them well.

head units really only feed you about 12 watts RMS per speaker without terribly amounts of distortion. a dedicated amplifier, even a cheap one, will give you much more, cleanly.

this was the cheapest I could find any CDT's. they can get up over $600!

Would these be a better choice than any of the ones i found?
