What kind of effect does it have on the subwoofer if you tune the box higher then manf. recomendations.

it'll sound like crap.

28-35Hz is ideal for deep bass and SQ

45Hz is used to get more SPL, and for boomier tastes like some rap.

55-70Hz is used for SPL systems in competition, to match port freq to the sympathetic frequency of the car's cabin to gain peak efficiency.
NOT the sort of system you want to listen to. It's strictly done to win events.
